Old Cook County Hospital Building

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this building was featured in the movie The Fugitive and on the TV show ER. Although it is currently not open to the public, the facade, built in 1857, is said to be one of the best examples in the city of Beaux-Arts classical architecture.

I just played with these pictures using PSE, Pic Monkey and Foto Flexer.  I also used Bonnie's "Age It" texture on the first one.  Great fun ...

Lovely old building. I'm glad it's still standing...'progress' hasn't taken it down.
I like the editing you did, too.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow! What an amazing building. I love the shots with the Lion, Rams heads and Cherubs. - Those are really cool.
Looks like you had a great time processing too. I like the B/W version the most.

What a beautiful old building. You did a great job with the details, and I do like your "night renderings".

Thanks for visiting my blog. I like these pictures. Old buildings are so wonderfully decorated, modern glass towers are shiny, but bland to look at.
