Good Fences
Surprise ... a Fence!
This is on an empty lot down by the channel where Izzi and I walk almost every day. She is not allowed to go on this lot because it has always been full of sky high weeds and ticks! Yes, ticks ... which is not a good thing. But this day when we walked down, someone had whacked all of the weeds and to my surprise, there is a fence ... and not a bad looking fence either. I hope this means someone is going to build on this lot. It is a beautiful place with a wonderful view ... any interest? :)
Have a wonderful day!

Good Fences
On our way to spend a few days with the youngest brother of the family we were visiting, we stopped to view the Lungern Town Lake ... this is clearly a famous lake as there were many people who stopped to take pictures. The color of the lake alone is delicious and I promise to have more beautiful shots of the whole view (sans fence) at another time. This is technically not a fence, but a railing ... but I am not going to quibble :)

Good Fences
This is an interesting fence for many reasons. First it is at the top of the highest mountain in Europe, Jungfraujock. We are 11,333 feet above sea level and yes, it took us a little while to acclimate to the "thin air". But, surprisingly we were fine in short order. Second, this fence is movable ... moved to where it is needed because it has a very special purpose.
As the sign is telling you ... if you go past this fence, you may fall into a very deep crevice. One can only imagine how deep and thus nobody goes past the fence. So it doesn't have to be stable or strong, it just has to show you something you need to know :) Have a great "Good Fences" Day!

Good Fences
This is Izzi's good friend Woody who lives in the neighborhood. They used to run back and forth along the chain link fence that was here before, but Woody also liked chasing cars along the same fence. He was inside so he wasn't in any danger, but he wore a path in the yard and ran down all of the shrubs that were planted there. Thus, a new fence was put in. Now this is the only way Woody and Izzi can communicate with each other :)
So, Happy Good Fences everyone ...
