Wild Bird Wednesday

 Wild Bird Wednesday #65

While in Ohio with Izzi at our agility trial, we were visited by a large flock of birds (there are 24 in the picture and many more spread out over the area ...

A group of them came in close to the fair grounds and look who it is ... my favorite raptor, The Turkey Vulture ...

They parked themselves on the tops of the telephone poles (the one at the end is drying his wings ... it was foggy and rainy i.e. very wet ...

Several landed on top of the Grandstand and watched the dogs running, thinking to themselves ... nope, not food, they're still moving :)

While others continued to soar overhead in hopes of finding something that was not moving (and in the case of the Turkey Vulture, something that smelled "good"!)

This was one of those rare occasions when two of my worlds came together.  It gave me the opportunity to teach some of my agility friends about the Turkey Vulture and their importance to our environment ... Every opportunity to spread the word is charished.  Save the birds ... Save the World.  Everything is connected!

Have a Wonderful WBW!
