Thursday Art and Dinner Date ... The First Thing I See Today

The First Thing I See Today

This used to be my first thing to see ... or should I say hear in the morning, but

There is now but one lone voice beckoning me at an early hour.  Chachi may be blind, but when it is time to eat, he can find me and let me know ...

If you are wondering where Buffy is when it is time to eat ... she is sitting in the window observing the wonderful outdoors and dreaming of her past freedoms.  I have to go get her when it is time to eat :)`

Rains Thursday Art and Dinner Date ... A Poem

A Poem (actually 3 poems :)

I suggest clicking to enlarge ... it will be much easier reading I think :)

When my daughter was sent to a therapeutic school one of the requirements was that parents had to be in therapy with one of there therapists.  If you have ever been in therapy you know that the relationship between the client and the therapist is strong and unique in it's one sidedness.  I wrote this poem as an
Ode to my Therapist

I don't remember when I wrote this poem ... I suspect it was a time of some despair though I don't remember what it was.  Thankfully, that time passed and I no longer feel cheated :)

Friday Face Off

I worked with raptors at a Raptor Rehab Facility for years ... the Barred Owl was a favorite  and we lost him this year at age 15, which is a good age for an owl in captivity.  We miss his funny little face and all of the antics he went through when we were training him for flight from glove to glove or when we tried to catch him up to take him for a walk.  He was quite the pistol and there wasn't anyone who didn't love working with him.  So this is a tribute to our Barredy ...

Thursday Art Date With Rain ... Scratch Art

 Scratch Art

Two versions of my scratch art Barred Owl ... The first one didn't show the brown in it and the second one showed a  little too much.  My scanner is not true to the colors, so I took them to PicMonkey and diced them up a little .  All for this week.  Looking forward to all of your versions of scratch art ... a time consuming technique, though I do like the results.
Stay safe and be well all of you ... times are hard so do your best :)

Thursday Art Date With Rain ... Playing Hooky

 Playing Hooky

(water colors)

Some people will do anything to avoid(play hooky from) house work

I am a master at playing hooky ... there is no end to the ideas I get that will keep me from having to clean house ... yes, sadly, I do clean house, but the whole time I am doing it, I am thinking of ways to play hooky :)

Stay safe ... Covid is not over yet :(

Friday Face Off

This is my first Friday Face Off ... I don't do a face every week, but will post with Nicole when I do.  This is a pastel on black paper.  Because my scanner doesn't pick up color well, I had to touch it up a bit in Photo Shop which is nothing new.
Enjoy ...
