Wild Bird Wednesday

There are few birds around that are cuter than the perky little Chipping Sparrow ...

(Note:  either one of my windows is cleaner than the other, or the sun glare is effecting the clarity of my pictures ... I'll let you decide :)

He was off in a flit, finding food and maybe, by now, looking for a little femme fatale ...
 Have a great week everyone!

I do love the little birds - known here as LBJs (little brown jobs). And they pay dividends for a closer look. Thank you - and have a great week yourself.

I was thinking today I hadn't seen any chipping sparrows since fall.
Wonderful shots of this sweet bird!
Love the bokeh in the first two.

Yep, sparrows and warblers...they're just birds that don't stay in one spot very long...so busy they are!! Your photos are terrific Andrea.

It amazes me how many species of sparrows there are. They are even mentioned in the Bible. Sweet.

Nice bird. Rather more colourful than our British Sparrows.

This little chap (or chapess) is still very nice!

I think you would have laughter if you'd been able to see me watching my first hummers! I was rather excited to say the least.

Remember Australia is big - so you need to make sure that Melbourne is on your bucket itinerary!

Never met another blogger in the flesh - although it seems some were very close to the places I visited in AZ.

Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

Our chippers here will soon move away into the cooler temps. They are such clean and handsome little birds!

I am so sorry, Mary, that you are losing so many trees. I always feel like I am losing a friend when one of mine comes down. Hopefully nature will bless you with some replacements soon. I agree, thankfully your home remains safe.
