Great shots for the day, Andrea!! You are so creative!! Hope your week is going well!
And great it is. Thank you.
I like both shots.... both of them convey a soft feel from a very creative mind...
I like the floating feeling of your abstract.... a feeling of freedom:)
Very nice!
Hi Andrea, sorry to have been away so long, but have enjoyed soaring high with your Great Blue Heron today!
Wren x
Hi Andrea I especially like the second one as it illustrates the slow and graceful flight of the Heron.
Nice - I like the simple tones - just grey.
I think the widgeon were rather used to people - some even swam towards me. There were mallard in the flock to - they were almost getting inside the lens hood of my zoom!
I think the Iowa trip is not going to happen - and I had read that it was great (only) if you like corn!

The heron is such a beautiful, graceful bird. These photos are surreal.
I agree that the second one is nicer. The simple gray is very effective, showing the gracefulness of the heron. I did see many of these while in Florida. Of course, I most likely wasn't in the right spot. lol.
I have been watching the Weather Channel all morning as they show what is happening in the Northwest at the large mud slide. It is so sad to see the numbers of missing and dead. Workers are doing all they can to find these people, but mother nature is not being very helpful.
Our weather looks much improved today, so I'm hoping that it will stay like this for a while. We only got a dusting of snow yesterday, and then the sun came out and melted it all. Now I'm off to make a cup of coffee. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
a suitable environment for the great blue. :)
Very cool. Appropriately blue♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/danger/
