Winter can be really wicked ... wind, snow, cold temperatures. How these little beauties survive, I will never understand. But, year after year they have come to my feeders all winter long, never showing any sign of distress. As harsh as nature is known to be, nothing is left to it's own devices. The ability to survive is passed on as it has been since the beginning of time ... and they just do what comes naturally.
There is nothing more beautiful than a Cardinal ... They take my breath away ...

Beautiful pics of a beautiful bird, Andrea!! I love cardinals, too!! Have a great day!
I love the Cardinals too. Their colors are just so beautiful. We have a few resident Cardinals here year round. This year, we will be putting up a couple more feeders so I'm hoping to see even more birdies. I would love it if Bluebirds would come here to live. I've only seen them twice in my adult life. First at my cousin's home on Cape Cod, and later in Wisconsin when I went to visit a friend.
Ah well, much as I would love to tay and chat a while, the tax papers are sitting here still waiting for me to work on them. You have a fabulous day, hugs, Edna B.
Cardinals are beautiful. The red against the white snow is striking in the harsh winter. There is beauty if we look.
A great WBW post.
Lovely photos!
Great photos of beautiful colorful birds.
Wonderful shots of the beautiful Cardinals. Have a happy day!
Just gorgeous shots of these lovely cardinals. Amazing all the colors available to us through nature. The snow blowing also adds so much beauty!
One of my fave birds too!
Beautiful photos! Cardinals are so pretty and make wonderful subjects.
That first grey and red image is great. It does seem to say "cold".
If you have the willingness to watch there is always something happening when there are gulls about.
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW
