Our World Tuesday

Another OWT at the Chicago Botanical Antique and Flower Show.  It is going to take me several weeks to get through all the goodies at the show, so bear with me.

These vases and the flowers where beautiful and I would have bought them all and brought them home except ... alas, I have cats who love to eat plants and there are so many plants that are poisonous to cats that I have decided it isn't worth the risk ... sad, but true :)  But, you can enjoy the pictures anyway ...
.

Have a Wonderful Spring Filled Week :)

Gorgeous. Thank you. And it is amazing just how many plants are poisonous to cats.

I agree. It isn't worth the risk. You just can't be too careful.

Beautiful....I must say that one, #129.jpg, is extraordinary. The leaves and the blossom...looks like a ginormous dandelion.

The last two sets of flowers are a very long way from home! I think they are Banksias from Australia.

The Wombat was very tolerant - but it may have helped that they are rather short sighted!

I love your photos. I'm not sure what these last two are. The blossom on the next to last one looks similar to bottle brush flower, and I have no clue about the last one. It is quite interesting though. I love how the tulips are displayed. Quite unique. Well, it's time to pay some bills, then Pogo and I shall go plant shopping. You and Izzi have a fabulous day. Hugs, Edna B.

Very nice! I got a protea in a flower arrangement about a month ago now and it's still looking great in a vase of its own while the roses and tulips and hyacinths and lilies are long gone. Great value for the buck. :)

I love the idea of a thin vase, I could put them on the narrow shelf by my chair. Oh wait...those cats. They'd either knock it down or eat the plants. At least I was able to enjoy them in your photos.

I'm glad you took your camera to the show so we can see the highlights!

Very cool vases and may I just say flowers #3 & 4 very unusual looking but cool. Good for you for not bring plants home around your kitties. I have the same problem here. It's good to look up plants that are poisonous to cats so you can gauge what you can have around them better.
