Manly Monday

My manly man this week is Ted Andrews.

Ted Andrews was a bestselling author and teacher.  He wrote over forty books which have been translated into more than two dozen languages.  But what I know him best for was his work with animals.  He held state and federal permits to work with birds of prey.  He performed wildlife rescue and he worked with wildlife rehabilitation and education.  He conducted animal education and story telling programs with his animals in school classrooms, giving freely of his own time and expense to help young people discover the wonder of animals and nature.

Sadly he passed away from cancer in 2009, but his work and devotion to nature (in its truest form as the Native Americans believed in it) will live on in his books.   He committed his life to my first love and I am proud to have him as my Manly Man.
