Macro Monday

Even though it is October, my Hibiscus( a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae) are still blooming.  The blooms are the size of a dinner plate and they are magnificent.  There are many varieties.  Mine are perennial and come back every year.  I consider myself lucky because they are difficult to grow this far north and rarely come back from year to year.  So, happily I share them with you ...

How truly beautiful. We have one, but it is a softer purple and its blooms are much, much smaller.
Thank you.

I'm jealous!!! I planted hardy hibiscus two years in a row, and neither one made it through the winter. Last year I planted rose of shasron instead. It made it through the winter. Gorgeous photos! Have a great day, hugs, Edna B.

Beautiful shots - as always! I especially love the last two. My hibiscus are also in full bloom - but that is not much of a surprise here in south Florida :P
