Chiang Doa, Thailand and the Rural Countryside
Main Street
Our hotel ... Chiang Dow Hotel
The Water Tower behind the hotel ...
Another local visiter ... The Spotted Dove
The kids would come over on their motor bike and ...
Join us for dinner across the street where they have the best Pad Thai ever ...
Out of the city limits you could see the Doi Chiang Doa peak in the background
This is all farm country and orange orchards are everywhere
The Fearsome Foursome ...
Irrigation tanks ...
Bamboo Trees ... they are everywhere :)
Flowers at the roadside ...
Water Buffalo ... try as I may I couldn't get a good shot of the big boys horns :(
If you look closely, there is an Egret flying by the tree ... it gives you a better idea of the size of everything around us ...
This was the dry season in Thailand so there were no crops in the fields, just the orchards, most of which had irrigation. It was still beautiful, lush and green and the temperatures at this time of year are wonderful. Cool in the shade, warm in the sun as we were in the mountains in the Northern part of the country. We did find hot as we traveled south to Phuket :)

Great impression of a famous travel!
Most I like the photos of the dove and the cat...
Thanks for your visit and comment: The fungi have continued to grow on the fallen tree trunk. They have turned, that looks a little strange ...
Loving travelling with you. Thank you so much.
Hello, what a wonderful tour of Thailand. I love seeing the scenery, vegetation, birds and the people shots. The fearsome Foursome is cute! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
Wow! What a great adventure in beautiful photography of a lovely country ~
Wishing you a Happy Week ~ ^_^
What lovely vacation that must have been.
Worth a Thousand Words
Great post. If ever I travel there it would have to be in the same season as you. I cannot tolerate heat, especially humid heat. Looks like you had fun.
How fortunate to be with people you know and not just in a tourist bus. You got to see places the tourists wouldn't be going, which gives a person the real flavor of the people and the land. Absolutely fascinating.
Lovely to see more from your travels to thiswonderful country.
I got a virtual travel with you...Have a nice day.
You most welcome to our place,if you are having a thought of it.Cheers.
