Chiang Doa, Thailand and the Rural Countryside

Chiang Doa is in the Chiang Mai Provence in the Northeastern part of Thailand.  It sits on the slopes of the Doi Chiang Dao Mountain (the third highest mountain in Thailand at 7,174 ft).  The name Chiang Doa means "City of Stars" .

Hot Springs consisting of several concrete basins, Japanese Gardens with gazebo and changing room, showers and toilet. There is also a small restaurant and some domestic and wildlife in the area ...

If you look closely, there is an Egret flying by the tree ... it gives you a better idea of the size of everything around us ...

On a  neighborhood street ...

This was the dry season in Thailand so there were no crops in the fields, just the orchards, most of which had irrigation.  It was still beautiful, lush and green and the temperatures at this time of year are wonderful.  Cool in the shade, warm in the sun as we were in the mountains in the Northern part of the country.   We did find hot as we traveled south to Phuket :)
