Wild Bird Wednesday

Lady Coopers Hawk

She is a regular at my feeders and I have featured her many times over the past few years ... but, I never tire of her beauty and power.

I am adding this link for those of you who love the Whooping Crane.  This group has been raising and teaching and releasing Whooping Cranes for over 40 years and this is the best documentation I have seen yet.  Enjoy ...

Your lady cooper hawk is definitely a beauty. However, I'm glad she has left my trees for the time being. I enjoy having my little birds back.

We are having a mini heat wave here, and I'm watching the water pouring off my roof as the snow up there melts. It's a lovely sight.

Pogo is thrilled to be able to have the door open again. He's been stationed in front of the door all morning catching up on everything that goes on outside the door.

I called this morning to find out how much is the new house insurance bill that is coming due. Oh dear, I should have just waited for the bill to get here.

I was so hoping that some of the items I've ordered for the new baby would be showing up here today, but so far nothing. There are a lot of things to get done before Pogo and I can leave for vacation. Just four weeks away. Oh wow!

Your trip is coming up really soon too. I can only imagine how excited you are. I am so looking forward to all the fabulous photos you will be taking. Especially ones of the flora and fauna.

My little guy is looking at the refrigerator now. I think he's hinting about food. He does have a way of getting his point across. Off I go. You and Izzi have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

What a wonderful bird - thank you for the comment about the quality of my pictures.

It would have been clearer if I had said "tonight I am getting ready to go back to work" - you correct that I work normal office hours!!

Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

PS: The first of my 'wordy posts' about Lord Howe Island has just gone up on my other blog if you have ten minutes to spare! SM
