re the allotment: that is a place where people can rent a small piece of land and grow their own food and flowers or just enjoy chatting with neighbors. Each piece of land has maybe 25m sides. No electricity or water on the allotments, but all you need is nearby. In this place there might be 200 allotments. You are allowed to build a very small house.
