Rites of Passage
We probably all know someone who is graduating this Spring, but it is only on occasion that the "someone" is special to you. This weekend I watched my Granddaughter graduate from High School. It was a joyous moment and we are all thrilled for her. She has worked hard and done well. She is a good student, an exciting gymnast and has grown into a beautiful and responsible young lady ...
Of course, Dad was the proudest of all ... and he, too, approved of the boyfriend. Amazing, huh?
Her high school years are over and the transition begins now ... college, work, responsibility, hopefully mixed with fun, laughter and satisfaction. We wish her the very best in life and I trust that she will do well. She has much to look forward to, as our lives are what we make of them and she has shown us that she has it right!
Off on a new journey ...

Isn't it fun to watch the young as they begin to navigate their way through life? It's so comforting to have many of those choices already made and behind me.

Congratulations, Hayley! I remember when she was a tiny thing. Look at her all grown up. Excellent post that many will relate to right now.

We don't have graduation ceremonies from school here. And if we did, it would be in summer. University graduations would be summer too, or more rarely winter.
Congratulations to Hayley. Such a rightfully proud Grandma!! Doesn't it make your heart happy when life goes well for our little ones? Hayley and her young man look wonderful together. I'm wishing them a journey filled with exciting adventures. My youngest two grandchildren will be in high school together this September. Kevin will be a graduating senior, and Jasmine will be a freshman. It's a wonderful life. You have a fabulous day my friend, hugs, Edna B.
