Good Fences

My friend lives near the wealthy horse district in the NW Chicago Suberbs so there are a lot of interesting fences to see.  My problem is that my friend has a lead foot and it is hard to get her to slow down enough for me to get a good shot.  This is one of the few that I was able to get.

Since I go to see my friend often, I hope to have her trained someday ... we shall see :)

These are good! You even were able to zoom in.Now try 65 MPH in a big rig! Ha! It is an art in itself. You should make her pull over! It is just a car. Bill doesn't have that option. You can't just pull a semi over. Sadly, I miss many shots.

when I was a kid, an American rancher moved into our area and erected a fence like this, I was totally dazzled and totally in love with this fence until I was 13 and then boys came along, it is beautiful.

What an incredible fence And yes, it speaks (loudly) of wealth.

Wonderful horse heads on the fence - I like that a lot! And yes, get your friend to slow down - it's so much better that way.

When I'm driving, I poke along with my camera near my side. When Hubs frives, he zooms down the road and by the time I get my camera raised whatever I wanted to preserve is a mile behind us. I hope your training works better than mine. Nice fence!

Oh, lead foot!!! Thank you very much for the word. My husband has a handicap with his legs, so I'm always slow for walking p;)
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

I agree, I love the fence and the horse heads on the posts. Funny, I never thought to photograph fences, but I have to agree there are so many interesting fences out there. You give me so many wonderfully creative ideas. I hope you win, and you get your friend to slow down, or even better to pull over to let you take photos. Now I'm off to find some fun mischief to get into. It's a gray, lazy day here. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
