Our World Tuesday

Botanical Christmas ...
Not all of my posts will be this lengthy, but I took these pictures at the Chicago Botanical Gardens last Christmas and didn't download them in time to post them.  I have been saving them all year so I am excited to share them with you today.  The Botanical Gardens always has something special going on ... again, as I said in my Fabric Art post, if you are ever in Chicago, you must go, you won't be sorry.

All of these wreaths were hung in a long hallway leading to a greenhouse ...

Then to this smaller, but most impressive room ...

And then to another hallway that led to another intricate and interesting display ... which, for the sake of space, I will post at another time.

I hope this post tickled your Christmas fancy and inspired some joy ... I wish you all  wonderful celebrations of your personal choice that includes family, friends and endless love.

i just love your shots of the beautiful wreaths here. Although I am from Chicago, I have never been to their botanical gardens. The very next time i am there, I plan to remedy that! HOpe that you have a wonderful Christmas Andrea!

It does look like a beautiful place. They feature it on WGN News all of the time for gardening and seaonal things.

Hi Andrea, yes they are long, but lovely. The wreaths should all be posted for comparison but i love most those plentiful hippeastrum. That's a lot and i want them badly.

Oh my, such a treat for my eyes this morning! I will definitely have to try to take a trip to Chicaco to visit this place one of these days. I just loved all the photos. Especially that little room with the trees and light colored poinsettias. The train set was perfect for the setting.

I don't know how you were able to sit on these beautiful photos all year. I would have been so antsy wanting to show them off. They are really beautiful. If we had a place like this here, I'd probably be visiting it every few weeks.

Time for me to get busy here. You have a wonderful day my friend. Hugs, Edna B, Woofs for Izzi from Pogo B.
