Good Fences

Remember when we used to have these on the end of our trains ... now they sit as decoration in somebody's yard ... with a fence in front of it, of course :)  Such fun ...

Happy New Year,
Andrea

  2. Great picture. I remember when we were kids the men in the caboose would throw us chalk we would use to draw hopscotch.

  10. But of course! I really miss seeing them too, as they were one of my favorite cars to see of the entire train!

  11. Nice picture. Cant help but think we have made a mistake with the way we have handled railways - we will need them again soon I think.

I have been thinking about the WBW logo - but I have to say its a little way down the list!

  12. When I was a little girl, I used to go to sleep to the sound of the freight trains passing by in the night. We lived fairly close to the train tracks. It was a very comforting sound.

I enjoyed your New Year's video, and I just loved the baby sandhill crane. What a cutie!! I'm hoping to see a few when I get to Florida this year. Only 58 more days till Florida. Woo Hoo!!

Today I think I'm going to put a few of my taped programs on DVD for daughter Audrey. They can't get cable out in the cornfields where she is so I try to tape a few favorites for her. This should keep me busy for a couple of days. My favorite program has not been on TV for the last two weeks because of the holidays, so I'm looking forward to watching it this coming week.

Now I think I'll see about getting dressed and find some fun mischief for Pogo and me to get into. You and Izzi have a wonderful day. Hugs, Edna B.
