Saturday's Critters

Saturday's Critters

Don't panic, none of them are poisonous and they were all very calm around people.  This was a display at the Fish and Wildlife Expo that we just couldn't pass up ...

Sorry for the blur ... the picture was taken by a friend who wasn't used to my camera :)

Is this not a beautiful snake?

Fancy Jewelry ...

And fun was had by all ... :p

Leave it to you to find such exotic jewelry!! However, as pretty as the snakes are, you can keep them all. Years back, my daughter Audrey had two boa constrictors for pets. Where did this child of mine come from? I have yet to figure it out. Snakes and taxidermy. This is the same little girl who always wore her little white gloves, pretty shoes and ruffled dresses, and wouldn't get dirty if you paid her! At least until her younger sister showed her the delights of playing in the dirt.

Are you getting a lot of snow from "Linus"? If so, do be safe. We're expecting another ton of the white stuff. Oh joy, oh joy. I haven't a clue where we are going to put it all. Ah well, soon it will be Spring. Right?

My feet are like popsicles so I'm going to curl up in my lounge chair under an afghan and warm up. You and Izzi have a beautiful day. Hugs, Edna B.

They are beautiful - but well outside my comfort zone. Even watching from the safety of my chair a zillion miles away my heart rate speeds up. Wimp that I am.

They're gorgeous! They'd be wonderful as jewelry if they'd keep still that long. :-)

Cool! I like snakes. They don't scare me if I know they are there but if I run across one somewhere while out walking I'll get startled but not scared. These were neat looking ones.

I am amazed, mesmerised and can't stop thinking "yikes!!". They are beautiful but I would be terrified. Actually we did see a small snake on our holiday recently....it was too fast for me to photograph!
