The feed store in my area sells chickens and ducks to the farmers every spring so I am lucky enough to see them when I go to buy bird seed.
They make it a point not to sell them as pets for kids which is a common practice around Easter ... we all know that those little chicks rarely do well and it should be discouraged for their sakes.
Cheep, Cheep ... Quack, Quack :)

They are all so cute! I have seen them in our feed store too. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
Our locak produce store often has egg factories on sale too. And I have seen staff interrogate potential purchasers about the conditions they can provide. Which gives them rather a lot of brownie points in my book.
Awww, so cute.
really cute. glad they're (hopefully) selling as farm stock. :)
There's nothing as cute as a fuzzy duck. Glad to hear they don't sell to kids at Easter, wish more had this sense of morals.
Adorable little fluff balls!
They are such sweeties and it is so true what you have said. We were given two bunnies and two duckies as Easter gifts when we were small children, by our well meaning grandfather. It was fun at first but then they got big. My parents gave bunnies to neighbors who had a small farm and the ducks went to a cemetery where they had lovely ponds~
They are just so darn cute! And I hope they all went to good homes and not to little ones who drag them around!
Baby ducks and chickies are great.
