Wild Bird Wednesday

Pied-billed Grebe

The Pied-billed Grebe is a small bird and, being all of the way across the lake, I had to use my full zoom and then crop them out on PS ... the results are grainy, but hopefully you can see it well enough.

Great shots! I've never seen one of these birds. It's beautiful. We're still having Indian Summer weather here and it is awesome. Today, Pogo and I will go out for a ride and do errands. It's a great day for a ride, and Pogo loves to ride in the car. Hope this finds you and Izzi in good health. You have a great day, hugs, Edna B.

Hello Andrea. Very interesting bird. I can see that it is small and "stocky" bird. Thank you.

That's a beautiful bird, and a great shot! It's hard to get wildlife sometimes...you have to be patient, and if you're lucky, have that good zoom lens!! :)
