Wild Bird Wednesday # 67
The bird populations around here at this time of year are slim pickin's so I decided to just take some pictures of a cool fall morning on my lake.
Pay no attention to all of the droppings :(
Can you feel how cool it is? It seems early ... we were in the 20's last night. I'm just not ready for this ...
Hope wherever you are, you have a nice warm, comfortable WBW day ...

That's the big problem with ducks and jetties... the droppings.
Lovely images.
Oh, I like your lake shots, the birds look cool in silhouette!
Sometimes impromptu shots like these work really well, nice effect of the light against the water
they look like they were enjoying themselves. :)
The light not your friend their Andrea. Join the club but don't stop trying.
A great series of photos - lovely to see all the birds on the lake.
Your slim pickings look like a bountiful harvest to me. Have a wonderful day.
So peaceful and relaxing to just sit by and watch the waterfowl!!! Loved your post and wonderful photos.
Droppings by the way, are just part of nature....pay no mind.
The lake pictures are so nice...and that water does look cold. The first photo has to be my favorite. It really did put a smile on my face. genie
HI Yes I can feel the 'cool'. Lovely series of shots
It is hard to capture them right now. I did hear the Sandhil this week though.
great bird photography. :)
What great photos, Andrea. It makes me wish I lived on a lake or pond. I would love to look out my window and enjoy watching the ducks and swans, etc while I enjoy my morning coffee. To me this is luxury. My internet explorer is finally fixed (thanks to Wayne) and I'm a much happier camper tonight. Tomorrow I'm hoping to order my next two blog books. Woo Hoo. You have a fabulous evening my friend. Hugs, Edna B.
Andrea these shots are really amazing! I love them. I guess these are geese??? Well the one with his wings spread out to fly is wonderful. Looks like a great place to walk, and also to see these beautiful birds!
Your waterfowl images make me wish for cooler weather here. Nice shots!
No geese ... swans and ducks flying. It is hard to tell because the sun was just rising in the east, so I was only able to get silhouetfes. Thanks for stopping by, Jeanne. I have been reading your blog and will be commenting when I have time ... soon :)
Andrea
I like the ducks - and payed no attention to anything else on the deck!
Wet, wild and wooly here today - winter is still about!
