At my age, Time, which is the prompt this week, holds a whole different meaning. It is the disappearing commodity that slips through our fingers without leaving a trace. I thought
Dr. Seuss said it best ...
F a ll I apologize ... I am deviating from the given prompt ... I don't know how to draw "C...

Ah, so true!!! I have the same problem!!
This is spot on for time indeed. Excellent.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
I ask that same question along with you and Dr. Suess! Haven't found a way to slow it down...
Let me know if you do, Maggie ...
Andrea
Amen to that!!
The longer time I spent here on Earth,
the less I seem to find.
Is it all the pressures and necessities of Life that does so,
or was it our childhood ability to stretch out Time?
I wish I remembered how I did that...

I never understood the saying that getting older was like having breakfast every half an hour - but now I get it. The days just seem to fly by so quickly. Maybe it's having reached the age where you know you have a finite number of them to enjoy and want to savor each and every one as they slip through our fingers.
Ticklebear also brought up the issue of why time seems to fly ... he questioned how we were able to make it be slow when we were young. I say it's the nature of the beast ... we were wishing time to pass more quickly so we could be tall enough or old enough or smart enough to do all of the things we couldn't do yet. Now we wish it would slow down so we can use all of our wisdom and experience to enjoy life ...and to spite us, it speeds up. Am I a cynic? Could be :)

I don't think I ever heard that saying here,
but I like it!!
It sounds just about right.
I'am ALWAYS making myself a pot of coffee,
so, must be true.
:D~

How true!!
I couldn't wait to be 18 so that I could [whatever]....
I couldn't wait 'till [whatever] to do this or that...
Now it's Time that can't wait for me, for whatever reason!!!
I don't think you're being cynical, just a realist.
The burden of life takes so much out of us that we are left
very little time for ourselves, as when we were kids, it was our parents who had most of the care and worry to think about.
I WANT MY MOMMY!!!
now!!!
:D~

Love your collage! and that Suess quote is perfect!(and so true)
I'm just now beginning to feel that speed you and Dr. Seuss talk about. What an absolutely adorable entry.
I love your time flying image. How true, how true. I'm wondering how I missed these last few posts. Now I have some catching up to do. You have a great day, hugs, Edna B.
The quote you chose was lots of fun and so true! How did it get to be August? I think I misplaced July. This reminds me to make the most of each moment, while it's happening. You illustrated it with such whimsy!
