More babies for you ... this is the time of year.  My trees are full of the sound of food begging and the little ones are awkward and big ... they look almost as big as Mom and Dad.  But, today I am going back to the water where the babies are still small ... Enjoy:)  Canadian Geese

I have but one rather strange submission this week.  I have been experimenting with a new art form that I ran across on a group of other blogs ... that of combining different species and a bit of fantasy ... I am not sure I am thrilled with the over all, but I like some of the individual players.  Just for fun ...Happy MOM :)

Lets me introduce you to my neighbor, Woody.  We used to run along the wire fence and have great conversations.  Then his Mom and Dad built a big fence because, when I wasn't there, Woody was chasing cars as they went by his fence.

Now he has to jump up in the air to see me ...

It's not easy to carry on a conversation this way ...

but we has fun anyway ...

Until he gets tired ...

My Mom thinks Woody is funny ... we laughs when we sees him jumping ... even when it isn't Friday :)

I had to go back to the pond where the Red Wing Blackbirds hang out every year.   This year was disappointing.  I only found one male where in the past there were many.  No female in sight, but I know she is around because the male was protecting the sight. 

The Red Wing Blackbird is a handsome fella ... bully bird, yes, but only doing what comes naturally.They are one of my favorites at my feeder ...

Now is the time of year when going to the garden is a great source of orange.  This is a small orange Delia from one of my planters on the deck.

PSE filters and pdpa textures were used to get the different effects. 

Today is "Father's Day", so to all of the Fathers, Husbands and Sons out there who have had the privilege of being a Father ... Have a wonderful day today and everyday!

  It feels almost strange to be posting to PAF again.  I have been so looking forward to it that I started dabbling back when Bonnie first posted the "Dreamy, Ethereal" prompt.  As always my mind wanders and I am never sure I am on the right track, but I am not unhappy with my artwork, so I guess that is what matters.  So here we go again ...   Dreamy ... Ethereal 

David Garrett music is, to me, dreamy (not to mention that he is too when he plays his music) so that is the first place I went.  

This one has a message, but it is best left to the beholder ...  

A light hearted portrait (albeit an old one) of my Granddaughter in a dreamy state.  

But alas, I must return to nature ... where my heart lies.    

So glad to be back ... looking forward to seeing all of you :)  Happy PAF and welcome back, Bonnie ...

My friend spotted the swans in the channel as we drove over the bridge.  I pulled over and got out, camera in hand.  Immediately "Dad" became alarmed and started patrolling ... moving swiftly toward his family.

Mom, too, became aware of me ...

and quickly moved between me and her babies ...

Soon they realized that I wasn't coming any closer, so it was back to eating ...

Dad joined in, but they kept the babies between them and they continued to posture just to make sure I knew that they still knew that I was there.

And, who says "Ugly Ducklings"?

The male Oriole is so orange that he makes the "Orange" in the picture look dull   ... so I decided to help the "Orange" out and it just made the Oriole more orange ... so there you go.  How orange is orange?   Hmmmm:)
