Wild Bird Wednesday 36

I am only just beginning to sort my pictures (which, by the way, were not as good as I had hoped ... poor lighting, lots of motion and then there was that person holding the camera:( . I did want to throw something up as a teaser for what's to come so this is it. This is a flock of Snow Geese circling the ponds along side the park we were in. ( Click on picture for better view).
I was a fair distance from this flock, but it still took five pictures to get the whole group. And, this was not, by far, the biggest flock (swarm) of Snow Geese we saw. They had estimated that there were approximately 2.5 to 3 million Snow Geese in this migration all of which would pass through Kearny, Nebraska in March and early April. Enjoy ... more to come :)

Now that is truly gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing it!!!
Cool shot of the Snow geese, amazing flock!
Looks like there could be thousands there!
It's still a great shot! I find it quite frustrating when I am trying for a shot that I can't quite get. I can't wait to see some of your other photos.
I didn't get many photos in Florida even though I had high hopes. The birds and flowers just were not cooperating with me. lol. I did get a log of great shots of Pogo though.
I'm at work now, so gotta get busy. You have a good night. Hugs, Edna B.
Oh. What an incredible sight. Thank you so much. I am guessing that it was as loud as it was beautiful.
WOW! That is some flock of birds!
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

Great flock!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Wow! That must have been a sight to see.
That is very impressive - it looks like a cloud. That had to be very awe inspiring to see in person.
Great flock of birds.
How moving it must have been to see this huge flock of birds. Bet they were beautiful. So anxious to see more of your shots
