Photo Art Friday

Photo Art Friday

I am the person carrying the camera, so the hardest part of this prompt was finding those few occasions where someone else had taken pictures that included me.   All of the pictures were outdoors where I spend most of my time and, of those, most of them were with my beloved raptor friends.    That is a small, but very important part of who I am, so that is what I will focus on today.  I am quite certain that Bonnie will come up with ways for us to portray our many other facets in future prompts.
These are all raptors that I have been involved with, some in education others in rehabilitation.  They have all added great depth and love to my life.

This was taken at a Garden Birthday Party of one of my dear friends that I have shared the rehab and education experience with.

If I look cold in this picture, it's because I was ...

This is me, freezing my buns while watching the spectacle of the Great Migration of Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese.  There are no words or pictures that will ever describe the enormity or beauty of this experience.

So this is a little piece of me and I am looking forward to meeting a little piece of all of you on Bonnie's PAF.  What a treat :)

I love your pictures! It is right that you make the raptors a big part of your portrait. Your face radiates a beautiful happiness for your birds and your friend. I'm so glad you shared this piece of you. Have a fabulous day now, hugs, Edna B.

Well ... the treat is all ours/mine! What stirring images, Andrea. So many variations in processing its hard to choose a favorite, so I will heart them all! Actually, truth be told, I will have to go back and spend more time looking at the digital aspects, as I was so taken by the subject matter!

It's so exciting to learn about this facet of your life and passions. You are one amazing woman!

Nice to 'meet' you! And the raptors! I love that doing challenges lets us get to know so many people that we may never had met in person. Love your entry this Friday!

Interesting to see how this image was built. Nice.

All the birds in my recent post can be seen on the "main land" - Mud Islands are not far enough away from the mainland to have its own species - and most of the wader are getting ready to fly to Canada, Alaska or Siberia so a few miles of water makes no difference to them!

Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

I really love this post, Andrea, BEcause it reveals you more and yet holds you in that special imagined space.

I love your process of facing the self-portrait idea and how little by slowly you came out from "BEhind the curtain" like Oz.

BEautimous and so glorious to "meet" you face-to-face!!

Andrea these are all wonderful, right down to the one of you freezing your buns off. How do you look so peaceful while doing that I will never know. I also especially like the image with your eyes and the owl eyes. Stay warm.xo teri

These are all just lovely Andrea! I love how you have placed yourself in the frame with the birds that you love and have helped so much! I also love seeing this last one of you in your sandhill crane experience! You do look as if you were having so much fun!
