Wild Bird Wednesday

Eastern Blue Bird

I don't see Eastern Bluebirds often.  They are common right across the border in Wisconsin, but not here.  This little fella was sitting in a dead tree on Izzi and my walk.  It took me so long to get Izzi back in and my camera out that I only caught three shots ... but it was worth it :)

I love the bluebirds. Sad to say, I haven't ever seen any around here. I have seen them on the Cape. (Cod) While I was in Wisconsin a few years ago, I was able to get a few photos of a bluebird in a nearby tree.

Today we are finally getting some badly needed rain. It is such a welcome sight. Our reservoirs are quite low, and the lawns and gardens are cheering today.

I think Pogo and I are going to sit out on the porch for a little while and enjoy this cooling rain. Give Izzi a big hug. You have a wonderful day my friend. Hugs, Edna B.
