I agree...they are beautiful birds in their own right and under appreciated.
My favorite birds are crows and ravens, I find them mysterious and majestic.
A lot of great photos, nice to see your post!
Starlings get a bad rap. They have beautiful colouration in the winter.
they are remarkably beautiful birds.
Beautiful photos!
Those are gorgeous photos. I wish I were so talented!
I agree that they are beautiful - but I don't want any around here thanks!
Great post on the Starlings. I would prefer they stay out of my yard. Your photos are wonderful.
It is the Indian Mynahs here which get the bad press. Feisty, happy little birds which adapt to their environment remarkably well. And SUCH fun to watch.
Loved these photos - thank you.
Starlings are actually quite pretty in the right light. They have beautiful, but subtle colors. We don't have as many this winter as last, thank goodness. They go through the suet blocks very quickly and keep the woodpeckers away.
Great photos.
They may be all the things you say, but as your pictures show, they are also a good looking bird!
Thanks for your kind words.
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW - Stewart M - Melbourne
Great images...I love the two --one with the tree and park bench, and the other in the circular feeder!!
It reminds me of Jojo an abandoned baby starling my grandparents found and raised. I was a small child, but remember it vividly. I think that may have started me with animal rescue.I even recall when we released Jojo; je kept flying back to us!
Handsome though!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I love the starlings. Pesky or no, they are still God's creatures and need love too. I think they are beautiful and I love watching them. Squirrels are pesky too, but we still feed them here. Your photos here are wonderful. I especially like the last four. They almost seem to have posed for you. lol. You have a great day and be careful in the snow, hugs, Edba B.
