Wild Bird Wednesday

Migrations still going on ...
 Common Mergansers

Common Merganser males

Common Merganser Female ...

 Common Golden Eye Male

 Northern Shoveler

We still see an occasional flock of migrating water birds, but now it seems like the Passerines are more likely visitors.  An occasional Eagle flies by, but as the boating is starting to pick up, they will go elsewhere to fish.  I still have pictures of more water birds and am short on pictures of the Passerines because my camera is in the shop.  Anyone who has had to have their camera in the shop knows that it always takes weeks to get it back, so I am grounded for the time being.

I am sorry that your camera is unwell - and hope it returns soon.
Your 'common' birds are exotic beauties to me.

I have only seen 2 pairs of shovelers. And only far away. That´s a pity :( Thanks for sharing

Your birds are wonderful. I'm sorry to hear about your camera. I, too, shall be in that spot soon as I really should put my camera in for a cleaning. But then I have my phone as a little backup. Not the same, but it sure helps.

How is Izzi doing? Has the warm weather made it to your area yet? It's looking very spring-like here, but the temps are still a bit cool. Well, at least I think so.

You have a great day, Andrea, hugs, Edna B.
