Thursday Art & Dinner Date ... Landscapes

 Landscapes
Watercolor of Maroon Bells in Colorado

This and the next two pictures is Lake Michigan

Most of these pictures were taken in the Chain of Lakes State Park which was just a short distance from where I lived on the lake.  This just barely scratches the surface of all the landscape pictures I have taken over the years.  I am sure I will run across some that I should have included, but for now this will have to do.  Today is Thanksgiving and I have much to be thankful for including all of my blogging friends who I enjoy and admire immensely.  Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate it and to those who don't, it is a good day to stop and give thought to all that you have to be Thankful for ... Be well, be happy and stay warm 😊

What fun seeing your landscape photos. I used to live along the shore of Lake Michigan. so those are familiar.

Dear Andrea,
this is a fantastic variety of landscape pictures - both the painted one with the mountains and all the photographs, whether with snow or grass or flowers, with a wonderful bank landscape or forest or with birds... (Are the three slim flying birds cranes? Or herons?...)
I want to thank you - both for your words at the end of your post about Thanksgiving and the fact that it's good to think about what to be grateful for. There is so much of it in my life! And blog friends like you are definitely one of them! Your comments always bring me so much joy.

This time there is also a question to answer: You wanted to know what Boho is: This is the short form of Bohemian, and the term is used in both fashion and living / furnishing for a casual mix, similar to the gypsy or Hippie style. Here I have the link to a very detailed explanatory article about the origins of this term in English: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_style
And here you can take a look:

Now I would also like to ask you something:
1) What does FH mean? I know DH for dear husband, but I have no idea what the "F" could mean... Fabulous? Fascinating? Fantastic?
2) Did you have anything to do with health professionally? Your comments suggest something along these lines. (Maybe you're just a very caring person...)

Speaking of caring or giving persons, I remember that you wrote to me that you had met Jane Godall a few years back. I think the world needs a lot more people like her. A LOT!

You want to hear music by the band Calexico? In my blog post I included a YouTube link under the collage with the band photos, but I also can write it down for you here:

Here you can get to know Joey Burns, one of the heads of the band, better - he is such a likeable person with a very pleasant voice:

Here I have nice a live concert from Belgium that's about 10 years old for you and your husband:

Hugs, all the best and have a wonderful weekend (maybe with good music?), Traude

Andrea, your landscape photos are so beautiful - I love all of them. Sometimes I think I wold like to go on a photo tour with you, I think we could have a lot of fun together. Too bad you're living a few states away... I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was very quiet, just my husband and myself and certainly no turkey. Being thankful is something be should be every day - there is so much in my life I am thankful for and I feel blessed for all of it. I hope your weekend is a good one.

I am thankful for our friendship Andrea! ♥ Beautiful landscapes. Whenever I see corn fields, I always remember when I got lost in a corn maze (I was in my 30's too lol)...it was getting dark and I was terrified, but made my way out! I watch too many horror movies lol!

Dear Andrea, I just read in your comment on Rain's blog that you will travel to Thailand and Australia. We will go to Australia, too. I would like to write you more about our plans - but not in the blog where the whole world is able to read it ;-). I couldn't find your email address but you can finde mine in my blog profile.
Hugs Traude
