Friday Face Off

This is my first Friday Face Off ... I don't do a face every week, but will post with Nicole when I do.  This is a pastel on black paper.  Because my scanner doesn't pick up color well, I had to touch it up a bit in Photo Shop which is nothing new.
Enjoy ...

Hi Andrea. Dave from Travelswithbirds wanted me to tell you that he is having trouble leaving comments. It has to do with blogger.

Dear Andrea,
what a magnificent elephant head! I assume you discovered the motif while travelling? I also saw a lot of Thai Buddhas on the silver and gold theme - we probably saw some of the same Buddhas because we have traveled to Thailand, too, and visited many temples. Funny that you feel the same way about silver and gold as I do: I prefer to wear silver rings, but I mainly painted with gold. (Black and gold has been my favorite painting combination for years). So wonderful what you wrote me about the blue-green preference you inherited from your mother. It's true, these are the colors of nature! In the course of my life I've had a variety of color preferences - now I'm 60 and pretty colorful ;-DDD
Thank you for your lovely comment!
All the best and have a nice July weekend,
Traude
