Good Fences

More Snow Fencing ... all along the roads, presumably to prevent the blowing snow in the fields from drifting on the roads.  Not sure it really works, but then it could be a lot worse if they weren't there.

True, we used to use them but it seemed every year was hit and miss for us if it worked or not! pretty picture.

I don't know whether they are of great use, but at least you can see them clearly with their cheerful orange color. The two lone trees are so pretty!

What a pretty country winter scene. I did not know that snow was the reason for these fences. Hmmm, pretty good idea. It's not snowing yet here. Gosh, I hope it doesn't even start! It's just cold.

I've been watching the Jewelry shopping channel, and they are showing some of the ugliest earrings I've seen (for $130). I supposed though that our differences is what makes the world go round. Oh gosh, now they are showing a matching ugly pendant!!

Vacation is getting really close now, and there are a hundred little things to do before we leave. SIL Eddie is going to be stopping by in a little while for a short visit. He seems to be getting around pretty good lately since his surgery. It will be nice to sit and chat with him for a bit.

Pogo is lying beside me, sound asleep. I think he knows something is up, and his little nerves start acting up. He sees me packing and trying things on. He doesn't realize that he's not being left behind. My vacation would not be fun without him.

It should be starting to warm up soon. I'm sure Izzi will be so glad to get outside to play. Have you seen any Robins yet? We had one outside my window a few days ago. It did not stay long enough for me to get a photo, but it did lift my spirits quite a bit. To me the Robins mean Spring is coming. This is first time I've ever seen a Robin in our yard in the Winter.

Well, I've lots to do today, so you and Izzi have a splendid day. Hugs, Edna B.

They used to have them in Canada on the highways those as the fields would blow snow on the highways and they have discontinued the fencing . And we have more car pile ups then ever. As people still think it is still safe to speed in winter time. Wrong. The fences did cut down the snow from blowing to cause the poor vision for drivers.

At least the orange brings in a little color to an otherwise blah landscape.
