This is Mopsy's Angel (my Mother's nick name) who appeared in many of her Christmas cards.

Lovely angel post Andrea, Ukraine needs some guardian angels. I heard the Russians are being kept in the dark on what is really happening. Your TAD link is pointing to an older post.

I'm with you about Ukraine. Sanctions seem to help, but they don't feed or help the Ukrainians fighting for their lives. If YOU want to help, DO NOT EAT at Papa John's. He is refusing to leave Russia (even after getting pressured by his colleagues) and he owns several stores there.
The Mopsy's Angel Christmas card is a graphic depiction of the events of the day. I like Elizabeth comment, even the mess in Ukraine, I would NEVER EAT at Papa John's. Take care and stay well.
The situation in Ukraine is reason for immense sadness, both in terms of what is happening to innocent people, and recognizing that after all our history we humans seem to learn nothing, and are capable of repeating the past until it destroys us all. I am not convinced that enforcing a no fly zone would incite Putin further. I suspect that if he wishes a pretext to elevate the conflict he will find one, real or manufactured. In the meantime we are giving him free rein to pulverize Ukrainian cities and massacre people without fear of opposition. In effect we have their blood on our hands. The sanctions have done nothing to help them. The fact that a Russian oligarch no longer has access to his luxury yacht is cold comfort fir a woman fleeing with her child, leaving behind her husband, her home and all she has ever known.
The angel cat statue is cute. I love garden artwork. Zentangle is a really cool art form. I've always been intrigued how artist do this and a bit envious as I can't seem to get my mind going in that direction. I pray for peace for all people but I know we'll never know true peace on earth. All we can do is pray for things to get better, especially the innocent who are always at the mercy of world leaders.
