I had just taken this picture when Monica posted her Simple painting last week. I thought of it immediately and decided now was a good time to use it. This is not a painting, but an airplane flying parallel to a frontal line of clouds.
By cropping and running it through a filter or two, I turned it into an art canvas ... then
Duplicate layers and adjusted opacity ...
Playing with color ...
Distort filters ...
And this is where I end this week ... next week, textures :)

HI Andrea I loved seeing where you started, then roughly how you edited it and finally really liked where you finished
Amazing and beautiful creation at the end - I'm so impressed.
Beautiful series.
Great original shot...love what you did with it♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/spool-yard/
Wow. I think I would have stopped and marvelled at the reality - and am so very glad that you didn't.
You will know why I smiled as I scrolled down..... it ended up orange! It was fun following your (doing? thinking?) to the last.,,and the last is my favourite:)
an interesting series of edits, i like the pastel colors !
oh, wow, this is soo fun. Think I have to play around with mine too. :) Love all of it and thanks for the giggle. :)
Wonderful processing! I love the result.
PS You asked how I made my piece. As usual, I can't remember! But I'm pretty sure it involved the Cutout filter, some textures, and maybe a couple of photos blended together.
very cool photo and processing!
You always are so creative in your work. I liked your starting point and the very end one was so unique and fun.
You are so creative.
A great series showing the metamorphosis of your image. I tend to like the ones toward the middle the best, but they are all interesting in different ways.
You got more mileage out of that than the plane did!
