Wild Bird Wednesday

Wild Bird Wednesday # 44
Link to "Paying Ready Attention"

I had seen this pair of Wood Ducks sitting in the trees next door, watching as my Mallard friends feasted on the duck food I put out.  Normally the Wood Ducks are very shy, but this morning they came to get in on a good thing ...

As with the Mallards, she eats while he stands guard ...

Then, after a while, he joins in ...

Then off they go ...

Note who is leading the way :)

Have a wonderful day Everyone ...

Hope you find a nest in that tree. That would be exciting.

Fabulous shots, Andrea. I haven't seen any of these ducks down my way. They sure are beauties! I'll bet you could fill a book with all the wonderful wildlife on and around your pond. I got me some great shots today that I will try to post tomorrow. Even a movie! We'll see. You have a wonderful night, hugs, Edna B.

Nice birds - I like wood ducks, although ours look very different.

I think any black and white bird had a good chance of being called a magpie in the past!

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW
