A fun post for Halloween! Reminds me of the movie "The Birds".
Holy cow! Great shots of the flocks! It's pretty impressive to see large numbers of birds together like that.
There was a lot of them ,nice shots ,nette
Nice to see such big flocks.
Wow! So many birds!
Hahah, I can see the parallels! Great pics :)
I am so for anything dealing with Halloween. What a terror-fic post. Creepy, but oh so fun.
These are unbelievable! And how could you not find a mass of black birds scary after seeing that film. ...unless of course you see them all the time as you do?
Amazing shots... the ones on the wires make such interesting patterns- and the dense ones on the road....yikes!
I love how you ended the post ...perfect:)
Wonderful shots. I love my black birds, your black birds, my black cats ...
In earlier centuries I may have had a firey end.
Nice post! Glad to see a bit of humour being injected into WBW - its not meant to be all serious birding ID type stuff!
Kookaburras are not really that difficult to photograph - being big and not as timid as some kingfishers - but I do kind it hard to get interesting pictures - I like the composition of mine with the left to right branch.
Thanks for linking to WBW.

I love your blackbirds too. I've never seen more than one or two of the red winged blackbirds at a time. Wow, they are gorgeous in large flocks. I love your humor! You have a fabulous Halloween! Hugs, Edna B.
Great shots of the large flocks of blackbirds. I love your take-off on "The Birds".
That is a lot of birds well done.
