I do a cartoon for my son at Christmas every year usually focusing on something that has happened to him during the year ... Just for fun :).  All of these are digital creations, some in a combination with sketches, some in combination with my photos.  We lived on a lake for 15 years after we retired so the hardest part of this prompt was limiting the number of photos ... and believe it or not, this is a limited amount of what I had to choose from :(  

Stay well, stay dry and enjoy the wonderful warm weather and the possibilities of our world starting to open up again.  And, don't be fooled ... stay safe :)

 Buffy was dumped in our neighborhood as a kitten and thus learned to survive as a huntress ... and she is indeed a huntress who will try anything once ... including a cupcake :)

Started as a sketch, painted in Photo Shop and background added digitally.  I haven't had Cotton Candy in years, so who knows why it came to mind.  I do remember having great fun with it when I went to the fair ... and oh my, what a  yummy mess :)

My favorite candy is the Fanny May Pixies ... I just can't resist them and my family knows, which is why I get a box for every occasion ... not good for the pounds, but I never refuse them:)

Thursday Art Date With Rain ... Cake

Cake

Marie -Antoinette, The Queen of France during the French Revolution ... As the story goes, "Let Them Eat Cake" was Marie-Antoinette's response upon being told that her starving peasant subjects had no bread.

When we lived on the lake, there was a bakery call "Lovin'

Oven" in town that made the best cakes and decorations (above and below) ...

 This cake was made for the Chicago Flower and Garden Show that is held once a year at Navy Pier.  Sadly , we don't live close to them any more ... but, on the other hand, it is probably a good thing as I am trying to diet to lose my Covid lock down fat 😝  All for now ... Hope you are all doing well and getting your vaccines ... it is important that everyone get their vaccine, right?
