Wild Bird Wednesday
Bird pictures are hard to come by in this weather. I have some but it is the same birds that come to my feeder that I have already posted. I have even gone back into my files for some posts ... I feel like a starving artist. Will this winter ever end? Hope you are in a better place to pursue your passions ....Have a Happy WBW wherever you are :)

Photo Art Friday
In my mind there seems to be something harsh about even the idea of angles. As I approached this project I found that I kept wanting to soften the edges. So, as this is my project, I went with it ...
As much as I miss this meme on a weekly basis, I find that it comes up quite suddenly once a month. So as I am wont to be a procrastinator, I end up spending the week before hurridly trying to meet Bonnie's challenge. That does not, in any way, take away from the enjoyment of it. I find I do much better work under pressure. I am looking forward to seeing everyones angle on angles ... Happy Photo Art Friday :)

Wild Bird Wednesday
The Red Bellied Woodpecker frequents my suet feeders ...
On this morning, he decided to sun himself for a while ...
While little Mr. Downy waited his turn ...
And waited ...
still waiting ...
And waiting ...
But the Red Bellied was not budging ... he was enjoying his morning sun ...
So finally, with one last look, he flew away ...
The good news is ... he did come back and get his share of the suet :)
Happy WBW Everyone!

Our World Tuesday
I grew up around horses, and I was riding as soon as I was old enough to be able to get on a horse on my own. I rode western and it was strictly for pleasure. I didn't take lessons or train, I just rode whenever I could because I loved it. My sister trained horses, so I had the opportunity to ride more than my friends. Back when I was growing up, if you didn't live on a farm, it wasn't often that you got to ride. I was lucky and though, truth be known, I probably couldn't even get in the saddle anymore, I still love horses and spend time near them whenever I can. This beautiful Friesian belongs to a friend who lives on a ranch close to my home. I go there often because my dog plays with their dogs. They asked me if I would take these pictures and I jumped at the opportunity ... Yes, since it is The Year of the Horse (Chinese New Year) it is the perfect time to get them out again ... hope you enjoy :)
The Friesian, the size of a light draft horse, but graceful and
nimble.
