Mushrooms
These are not really mushrooms, but very specific fungi, that only David would know the names of ... but they are as close as I can get to a mushroom, so this is what you get :)
And, David ... these were taken in the State Park that I have told you about :)

...mushrooms are part of Mother Nature's miniature world. Have a Spectacular September weekend.
Fungi are such a wonderful part of a fall forest, with such variety of shape, colour and texture. For those who know what to look for and what is safe to harvest, a world of exceptional taste awaits. Of course, what we see above ground is just the fruiting body, and the real work goes on beneath the soil. Thanks for sharing these beauties, Andrea. Many hugs - David
How I love seeing fungi - and eating carefully selected ones too.
Mushrooms are a fruit. They are such a fascinating life form of microscopic mycelium networks that produce these fine looking fruiting bodies we call mushrooms.
