Our Barred Owl recently deceased ... He was an ornery little character and everyone loved him at the Raptor Rehab Center.

I would have visited last week, but ny the time I got around to visiting on Monday, the Linky was gone. Nowhere to be found. I'm so glad you posted this week, so I could at least stop by and visit. It's definitely been too long since I dropped by.
I'm sure your Barred Owl was much loved and will be greatly missed. Such a beautiful face, too.
Poor little owl, but you have memorialized him well, Andrea!
Lovely image of the owl, sorry to hear that he died.
Owls are called wise birds. Suppose it depends its eyes.
I just find the John Lennon's quote: "Tame birds sing of freedom. Wild birds fly."
Happy ne week xx
Dear Andrea,
I'm so sorry your Barred Owl died... A very pretty bird. It always hurts to let such beloved critters go.
Thank you for your wonderful comment and for telling me about the efforts to save whooping cranes! It's good that - despite all the destructive greed that reigns in the world - there are always people who are committed to nature and its preservation.
All the best,
Traude
