Thursday Art Date With Rain

Try a Different Medium

Colored Pencil and pens with digital background ...

Digitally altered

Pastel on black paper

 Hope
(abstract)

Paint pens

This is a paper mache water buffalo that I did years ago ... thought it would work for this post :)

My granddaughter's  friend and her father made this Origami Swan to help pass the time during the Covid 19 shutdown :)  Pretty awesome, right?

So hope you are all being safe and finding ways to enjoy life even with it's threats and limitations.  Be well!

the water buffalo is great and the nice the pictures with the digital background editing. The dog is drawn cute in this way and I like the abstract very well. Great ideas again about rain. This is very nice the Origami Swan. What comes out of the distraction!
Thank you and I wish you all the best and take care of yourself!
Greetings Elke

Lots of awesome art today. The dog is gorgeous, an reminds me of my Scruffy. The buffalo is wonderful. And I can't believe how intricate the origami swan is, wow! Have a good weekend, take good care of yourself, and let's hope that our lives will get back to normal soon. Hugs, Valerie

I'm always amazed when I visit you, Andrea. You come up with the most perfect pieces. I adore them all. You have showcased some genuine beautiful and different art forms. These have got to be perfect examples of what Rain was hoping for. I am simply impressed. I also like your friend's swan. Truly amazing.

Stay well and stay safe, dear.

Hi Andrea :)) Firstly thanks as always for your sweet comment on my blog! I haven't found time to answer comments anymore but I wanted to let you know that it made me smile. :) I'm so glad that the weekly art date makes you feel so good! I'll never stop hosting it unless they drag me away in a straight jacket...that could happen soon lol...we're still having well issues...long story but we are running out of water fast. We found a good guy who should be able to help us out for much less than the cost of a drilled well. Fingers crossed, I'll keep everyone posted on my blog.

I love all of the pieces you chose for this post. I'm a sucker for any dog, so I love your pastel on black paper! Isn't black paper fun? :) Your "Hope" abstract gives me hope that Mother Nature will restore this world as it should be. That's what I see in your work. I don't know if you meant it to have a different message or not! Your paper mache water buffalo is SO COOL. Every Halloween I try to do some paper mache too, I'd love to get more into it when I have the time. I've seen some ladies out there who do works of art with paper mache.

Amazing origami, that young gal and her father are really talented (and patient!!!) :)

Nice work! I have no skills in areas like these!

I think the picture of the wolf (?) howling at the Moon sums up how I am feeling!

Hope all is well - Stewart M - Melbourne

More on the above - just feel very frustrated, and shouting at the sky seems about the only thing I can go at present!!!
