Sunday in the Art Room ...

Sunday in the Art Room

White Pelicans visited our lake every Spring(much to the chagrin of the local fisherman) on their way to places further north.  They stayed for several weeks then one day they would all fly off headed straight North.  So was the timeing of their departure their own understanding of weather and when the lakes in the north would thaw or did it have to do with the amount of food (fish) available in our lake.  I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that they were amazing guests and those of us with cameras looked forward to their arrival every year :)

A little artsy fun ...

So another week has past and it is hard to tell from day to day if it is winter or if we are moving toward Sping.  Our temperatures have ranged from the low 30's to the mid 60's.  I assume (and am hoping) that the temperatures will keep moving toward the 60's and then stay there with only upward movement from that point on.  Spring can't be that far off, right?.  I keep telling myself I am looking forward to Spring, but then I remember how much work goes into cleaning up after winter and preparing and planting our gardens.  Oh my ... but at least we won't have to wear our coats and we will have bright colored flowers and the presences of busy bees and the sweet songs of birds.  Oh yes, I am for sure looking forward to Spring :) Hope you are all doing well ...
