Sunday in the Art Room
These are paintings and pastels done by my sister (above) and my Mother (below). They were both extraordinary Artists ... and the reason I never dabbled in art until I was muuuuuch older. Anything I did and or still do pales in comparison. But, as I have matured, I learned not to compete but to follow my own heart. So now I do art and try to appreciate it for what it is ... uniquely mine π Simple but enjoyable ...

P.S. This neat and tidy art room is borrowed from Google Images ... believe me, my art space doesn't come close to "neat and tidy". In fact, if you were to see it, you would wonder where I find room to do any art. I often wonder that myself ... then I just scoot everything further down and "Voila" a space for my artπ

I hope you read my post today. You are an extraordinary artist and have your own style, as did your mom and sister. The photo are wonderful to share with Sunday in the Art Room. Have a very creative day today.
You are all so talented!!
You are not too bad either. Art runs in your family.
It's tough to feel you have to follow in someone's footsteps, and I'm glad to read you can now go your own way. Since your mother and sister are so talented, it must run in the family, right? I love your artist in the art studio. Have a super week ahead. hugs-Erika
Your Mother and Sisters art is amazing your artistic flare was growing inside like a slow forming seed just waiting to bloom... and what an artist you are. We are all unique in so many ways.
Happy creative week Tracey
You are all very talented, Andrea. I think that watercolours rather than blood runs through your veins! I envy you the ability to create the way you do. It’s such a skill! We are all in awe. Hugs - David
You are talented in your own right!!!!!
Andrea email me. My contact is in my profile on my blog.
Don't sell yourself short, Andrea. The talent in your family did not stop with your mom and sister, although their work is lovely and I'm glad you have it. But what I really love is that you have found your own style -- that's really important and not always easy to do. I struggle with it. So bravo!
...and above all, it should be enjoyable. I know from experience that this is the only way to create good art. And I can see here that you have approached painting with enthusiasm.
