Friday Face Off https://beadwright.blogspot.com/2026/01/friday-face-off-112026.html

Friday Face Off

New Years Day is my Father's Birthday, so it seemed fitting to pull up his picture along with my Mother who was always at his side.   My father was a professor at the University of Illinois and my mother was an OB nurse at Carle Clinic and Hospital.  But most of all they were kind (though strict), loving parents.

My parents have been gone since the 1990's, but they live in my heart every day.  I was blessed with wonderful parents and a joyful childhood.  So I am starting my new year out with a word of Thanks for all that they did for me.

Happy New Year to all of you ...

Andrea @ From the Sol

Your parents are very handsome couple. They sound like wonderful people. Must be where you got it. :) Thank you for sharing your family with FFO and wishing you the very best for 2026.

PS. Yes I know that Rain is retiring from blogging and all Social media. I'm thrilled that you will be joining FFO. I can't wait to see your portrait. Remember for FFO any blog post is acceptable as long as there is a face. So glad you are back.

Dear Andrea,
it's lovely to see you at FFO and to meet your parents here and learn about your happy childhood. It's wonderful that you had such loving parents who encouraged you and your interests.
From your opening picture, I gather that you're sad that Rain has left the blogging world... I feel the same way... but I think we can both understand their reasons...
I wish you and the people who are important to you a wonderful, colorful, happy, exciting... and above all, healthy New Year!!! 🍀🥂🍾🐞🐷❣️
