Always love seeing bees at work. They do so much for us providing us with fruit, vegetables, and the wonderful flowers. Lovely photos. Just think how terrible the world would be without bees.
Dear Andrea, bees are so important! Fortunately, in Austria in the last few years a lot is being done again to protect wild bees and provide them with nesting opportunities and food (field margins and meadows are mowed later, insecticides are largely avoided, etc.). Unfortunately, this isn't the case all over the world, and companies that sell pesticides that are harmful to bees are getting richer and bigger... Of course, there's no room for such poisons in our natural garden, and in the last few weeks I've had a lot of joy with the buzzing and humming, for example, in my rosemary or in the creeping bugle that blooms in our garden meadow. I would like to thank you very much for your appreciative words about travel and the environment! Hugs and all the best, Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2025/05/gunthers-kakaozeremonie-und-ein-paar.html
I am totally in love with bees. And they are so important to all life on Earth, yet we treat them with disdain. This is the time of year when many species start to appear in the backyard and I am happy to see them all. Hugs - David
