Sorry for missing last week ... Time seems to get away from me these days. Hope all is well with everyone. Summer weather (HOT) is here. It isn't any wonder that Spring and Fall are my favorite Seasons. Oh for a 70 degree day 😁Happy Father's Day to those of you who have earned it ... enjoy the love and attention you get for at least one day a year :)

Good to see your work. It's been a cold week since. I have so much to do!
Bicycls are fun as your drawings show. I do enjoy seeing your bird photos and art.
Lovely takes on the themes Andrea!
Lovely to see your quirky take on Rain's theme - though blogger is messing with my mind and refused to show the pictures until I fiddled.
Stay as cool as you can.
What funny drawings!
Yes, I agree dear Andrea,to get fun. Laughing is a necessary thing, it's important, I believe. In this way I send you a big smile.

Great art, Andrea. Any day spent in the company of Cedar Waxwings is a great day! Hugs - David.
Dear Andrea,
you're showing great photos and digital art again, I think the most touching is the first photo with the "baby bird feeding" :-)
I would also like to thank you very much today - you left me SOOOO lovely words in my blog. I've hardly been online in the last few days (because of my aunt's birthday and working as an extra), so I'm only getting around to answering your questions today.
You wanted to know whether the man with his alpaca was an interesting person or if his alpaca was the main thing of interest. Ludo Mineur is an environmental activist and that alone makes him an interesting person to me. He also reminded me a little of my father, who 1. also had white hair and a beard in the last decades of his life and 2. liked to make contact with other people. An alpaca would have suited him well ;-)) But I admit, I cared more for the animal than the man...
Edi's veggie burger didn't taste bad - he admitted that himself ;-)
I've never seen orange lichens like at the Bay of Fires, too - and I've been to almost every continent (but not to South America and Antarctica).
Blowholes are loud, yes - like the loud sound of the sea. And they're fun!
Yes, I'm rather small... but not tiny ;-) - 1.62 cm.
I can well understand that it was extremely difficult to let the rehab birds go. The world out there is very dangerous... And I think you feel the same as me - animals that I've cared for (even if only for a short time) have taken a piece of my heart with them (and vice versa).
Interestingly, I saw my first black swans in South Africa - in the garden of a B&B. The owners had a soft spot for birds and were also very happy that Hadada ibises (Bostrychia hagedash) were nesting on their roof. I can understand the joy, even if the birds woke us up at the wrong time every early morning with their loud cries ;-)
In any case, I can highly recommend Tasmania to you, you will definitely like it. Apart from the roadkill, we didn't have any bad experiences there, we just would have needed more time. But we had to set priorities... However, we loved it!
Hugs and all the best from (not so hot) Austria, Traude

Hi Andrea,
I love your painting of the cedar waxwing. It's just lovely -- they're such beautiful birds. And your digital art with the bicycles is such fun.
I also wanted to thank you for your very kind and thoughtful comment on my "pangst" post! I could never, nor would I ever, try to stop Rick from his long rides, but I'm always glad when he modifies his plans so they are a little shorter. He decided (after hearing of the death of his aunt and a memorial in August) that Nova Scotia will have to wait. And he's OK with that. He'd been a little funky about this one as a dear friend and cycling mentor was killed (cycling, of course) by a Mack truck while he was out of his home state, thousands of miles away. It won't stop Rick, but it has made him rethink some things. At least for now. Your comment was so very perceptive. And yes, when it works out, we try to connect during the long ones!
