Thursday Art & Dinner Date ... Fictional Monsters

 Fictional Monsters

New Art
Is Nessy fictional or not?  I don't think that question has been answered yet, but until someone gets proof of the existence of the Loch Ness Monster, I will treat it as fictional :)

Old Art

I think "Alien" was the scariest movie I have ever watched.  Not that other's weren't scary, but somehow "Alien" has stayed with me though it has been years since I watched it.  I don't think I would want to watch it again ๐Ÿ˜•
Our weather has turned cool and sometimes cold, but the leaves are turning and the beautiful colors make up for the miserable weather.
Feeling distressed about yet another war starting ... We are going through difficult times.  I hope our future has some bright sunshiny moment in it :)  Stay well everyone ...

I will continue to believe that Loch Ness monster is myth until we get evidence to the contrary. But the myth has kept the area filled with tourists, so it continues.

How I love your art. My jury is out on Nessie. And will remain so until we get comprehensive proof.

I don’t know if you ever figured out how to check for spam, Andrea, but a I just left a comment and it instantly disappeared.

...the news is scary enough for me.

Nessie looks great! When I was at Loch Ness many many years ago, s/he didn't make an appearance.
I watched "Alien" a long long time ago as well and I didn't like it one bit. Like you, I would never watch it again. My husband likes to watch scary movies like that and when he does, I usually go to my studio and paint or do other pleasant things I enjoy.
Have a lovely weekend, Andrea.

The old Story of Loch Ness is always welcome, I believe surely. It's magic, like halloween is it now in the next days. It's a nice use... And I admire your artwork too. Funny ... or spooky, too.

Dear Andrea,
Many years ago (I think 1987?) I stood on the banks of Loch Ness, but the only Nessy I saw was a statue. I think it is possible or probable that a few hundred years ago there was a dinosaur-like or water-snake-like creature that could exist in the deep lake longer than its counterparts elsewhere, but in my opinion it no longer exists. Anyway, I like your picture of it and I also like your "Alien" painting. I've never seen the movie - I'm completely unsuited to horror films. For me, the actual horror you mentioned, that is spreading in some parts of the world is enough.
It has now become autumnal, cold and colorful here too and it rained a lot last night - I hope that the groundwater reservoirs have been replenished somewhat.
We all have to take care of the “sunny moments” ourselves, ideally with small, loving gestures. I think you're good at this because your comments speak of a very kind, warm-hearted person. When I read them, the sun rises for me, and I hope it works the other way around too.
Hugs and all the best, Traude
