Thursday Art Date With Rain ... February Films ... Comedies

 February Films ... Comedies

I always had a thing for Bob Hope  ... More because he entertained our troops when they were far from home and facing war.  I always thought that made him very special,  so I went to all of his movies to say "thank you" in my own way ... and he was funny :)

Andrea,

WOW, great job on Bob Hope! I thought about including him but ran short on time. Perhaps another time, though. Thanks for visiting, my friend.

...a few years ago I visited the Air Force Museum in the Dayton, Ohio area. They had a fabulous display of the USO shows the he did. Lucille Ball was born in nearby Jamestown, New York and they have recently opened a comedy museum. Take care and stay well.

I well remember watching Bob Hope when I was younger. He was a master of his craft. If only we had real comedians now!

You will know how Bob Hope was British by birth, a fact I knew but had forgotten until your post. I read his Wiki entry.

Your Bob Hope is great Andrea!!! I'm a big fan of his too, but mostly his radio days. I never watched any of his movies though, interesting enough since I'm a fan of old movies! He was so quick, witty...and he ad-libbed a lot on radio which made things even funnier. Great choice this week! :)
