Thursday Art Date With Rain

Snow Creatures

This is the imprint of a Cooper's Hawk
that pounced on her pray in the snow.

Trees always make magnificent snow creatures ...

This large female eagle had just been released after being rehabbed at our facility.  We took her to the place where she had been found and it took her a few minutes to acclimate herself, but then she was off, never to be seen again.

The moon always brings the sparkle out in the night snow and creates creatures by casting shadows ...

My favorite snow creature ...

I will apologize in advance ... I have things going on in my life that are demanding a great deal of my time, so, though I have time to post this morning, I won't have time to comment until later in the week. Soooo ... if you would all get the chance to check back at your wonderful posts and comments, I will hope to be there for you :)

Hi Andrea :) I love the first two photos, though the idea of pouncing on her prey kind of made me feel bad for the prey! What a lovely pattenn the hawk made in the snow though! I really commend you for your work with those animals! Your trees are lovely! Your backyard snow creatures are so pretty and I really giggled at your "hahahaha" sense of humour! Very cute! Hee hee. I love the penguin! Your dog is adorable, look at the happiness!!! :) Thanks for finding time to post!!! :)

Your photos are fantastic, so many different images of snow and all so beautiful. Love the hawk imprint, that's life! How fabulous to work with and for those creatures. The trees are most impressive, too. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

LOVE your photos. Particularly the release of the eagle. So much of our wildlife has been killed in the current fires a positive wildlife story is wonderful to see.
I do hope the things occupying you are positive - and send my very best wishes.

Terrific series of birds in the snow. Love seeing the imprint of the Cooper's hawk. Your dog looks like he is having a great time in the snow.

Andrea,

Life gets in the way sometimes. I understand, my friend. Never worry about it, everyone in Blogosphere has been where you are. You sure do have a lot of snow in your neck of the woods. That's something I don't have to concern myself over usually. Your doggies really like the white fluff! Your other captures are fabulous!! Have a good upcoming week, my dear!
