There are a lot of ways to illustrate ice, but none so close to my heart (uh ... mouth) than Chocolate Icing.  I have never passed up a chocolate cake without sampling the icing.   All for this week ... see you all soon :P

Andrea,

Your images of icicles hanging from the gutters remind me of my childhood. Both DH & I were born in the southern West Virginia which is north of Tennessee about 4-hours. My memories' eye recalls lots more snow and cold than what we have here. In those wintry months of snow I remember how icicles would form thick and long. It was beautiful but worrisome. I was always afraid they would break away when someone walked beneath the and it certain is something to be cautious of but thankfully I don't it ever happened.

The photograph of the rainbow in the Switzerland mountains is gorgeous. What a fantastic capture! I couldn't agree with you more the best kind of ice is chocolate icing! Now, I want some. :)

Have a doodletastic weekend, my friend!

PS: I'm not longer on blog hiatus. ;)

Fantastic photos, what a great collection. Those jagged icicles look really wicked, we had some hanging from the roof here a couple of years back after an ice storm. Love the shop window reflection in Switzerland, great shot. And the icing on the cake - chocolate icing, yes please! One of my neighbours makes a chocolate fondant cake with icing that's to die for! Have a wonderful week, dear Andrea! Thanks for sharing the gorgeous pics. Hugs, Valerie

Oh fun! I love your chocolate icing art!!! I'm with you, icing is the BEST ice lol...your stalactites are wonderful, I've always been fascinated by them, though I've never seen any in person. The closest I get to stalactites are my FULL gutters leaking icicles lol! ;) Thanks so much for joining in Andrea!!

A creative and lovely selection.
I loved them all - but the rainbow has my heart this morning. And day is immediately improved by a rainbow.
